Creating Lighting Diagrams on your iPhone!

Janis Lanka and Isa Goksu have released Strobox, a (free) app for the iPhone. With it, you can create lighting diagrams directly on your precious iPhone.

No connection to thestrobist web site other than the similarity in the name, which is apparently a combination of the words “Strobe” and “Botox” or something. Direct link to app in the iTunes Store, here.

Five-star app rating from me if the next upgrade references the site and can set off a PocketWizard receiver… Thanks David for this tip!

Jerry – What a great use of technology – I have already done this in a very crude fashion by taking shots of setups from magazines and books with my iphone, but this app is way better than what I was doing. Between this app and the DSLR remote from On-One, it is amazing the technology we can have in our hands before, during and after a shoot. I am sure at one point, the ability to use the Polaroid for the instant (2-4 minutes) feedback was, at the time and for many years to follow, an astounding technology that made a huge impact on many disciplines of professional photography. While this app may not have the same impact on photography, is quite ‘deadly’ 🙂
